It's hard to tell what goes through the mind's of America's jobless; unless you have been jobless before. If you have a job right now you probably feel safe and secure for now. However, there is increasing anxiety over depressing global, national and local financial news which leaves even the employed worried about their financial future. How do you find a job nowadays anyway ? Underutilization Rate A recent U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) report indicates that the underutilization rate (discouraged workers who no longer look for work and the underemployed) for November 2008 is now at a record 12.5%. If you add the current 6.7% unemployment rate to the 12.5% underutilization factor perhaps the "real" unemployment rate is 19.2%. | ||
